Virasil includes a one-sided self-adhesive wound contact layer dressing using Safetac technology, and the other is a wound contact dressing. The Safetac technology on one side of the dressing makes it easier for the clinician to apply and allows it to be used as the first layer on a wide range of wounds, including abrasions, skin tears, surgical incisions, partial-thickness burns, traumatic wounds, blisters, partial and full thickness grafts, leg ulcers, and wounds that are difficult to treat because of their complexity. This means that the dressing can be used as the first layer on a wide range of wounds.
