A.Immunomodulation

Preclinical pharmacology studies demonstrated that VIRAPLACEL^® promotes functional immune reconstitution in experimental GvHD. Treatment resulted in a reduction of inflammatory lymphocyte populations such as CD8⁺ T cells and NK cells, and restoration of CD4⁺ T-cell and B-cell levels to near-normal values.

B.Reducing Tissue Injury

Histopathological evaluation demonstrated reduced epithelial apoptosis and improved tissue architecture in target organs following VIRAPLACEL® treatment, supporting its protective effects against GvHD-associated tissue damage.

C.Improved Functional Outcomes

Behavioral assessment in the murine GvHD model demonstrated restoration of normal exploratory activity following treatment with VIRAPLACEL®, consistent with improved overall health status.
